{"id":3189,"date":"2025-04-23T09:41:01","date_gmt":"2025-04-23T01:41:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/app01.lib.eduhk.hk\/tl\/?page_id=3189"},"modified":"2025-04-23T09:59:03","modified_gmt":"2025-04-23T01:59:03","slug":"fund-for-innovative-technology-in-education","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/app01.lib.eduhk.hk\/tl\/fund-for-innovative-technology-in-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Fund for Innovative Technology-in-Education (2023-2026)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The University Grants Committee, with the support from the Quality Assurance Council, has introduced a new fund for Innovative Technology-in-Education (FITE) with the objective to provide an impetus for all UGC-funded universities to harness innovative and breakthrough technologies such as generative AI, Web3, AR\/VR, robotics and other emerging technologies in transforming teaching and learning, and in nurturing a digitally competent and technologically responsible generation, for the future success of our students in the digital economy. The FITE comprises (i) initiatives developed by individual universities, and (ii) for inter-institutional collaborative activities (IICA) to be jointly undertaken with contributions from two or more UGC-funded universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The four themes of the FITE are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Driving transformation in pedagogies, curriculum, assessment and student development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advancing digital competency for all<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promoting technological social responsibilities and academic integrity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fostering academia-industry collaboration for authentic learning experience<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Institutional Portion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The projects under the institutional portion of the
