The University Grants Committee, with the support from the Quality Assurance Council, has introduced a new fund for Innovative Technology-in-Education (FITE) with the objective to provide an impetus for all UGC-funded universities to harness innovative and breakthrough technologies such as generative AI, Web3, AR\/VR, robotics and other emerging technologies in transforming teaching and learning, and in nurturing a digitally competent and technologically responsible generation, for the future success of our students in the digital economy. The FITE comprises (i) initiatives developed by individual universities, and (ii) for inter-institutional collaborative activities (IICA) to be jointly undertaken with contributions from two or more UGC-funded universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
