Result:
The project objectives have been full-achieved. After the consultation from Dr. Peter Fraenkel, the MEd Specialization has strengthened by adding more practical skill which educate and support parents and families to support children’s growth and development. On the other hand, the project team developed international collaboration with the Oxford Symposium in School-Based Family Counselling, and other Institutes in Families and Parent Education in Hong Kong (e.g. CIFA). This is in line with the Institute’s Blueprints’ “Education Plus” philosophy. The project team had also held talks, symposium and workshop for the colleagues and guidance and counselling professionals as staff training which helped to bring in new collaborations between HKIEd and overseas and local organizations.
Impact:
The online materials for the 3 modules were developed. This was useful for both the lecturers and students as additional information in teaching and learning of the related concept of the module. On the other hand, the symposium and workshop brought in new ideas, the experiences from overseas and local scholars were useful for the counselling team in developing teaching materials.
