Abstract:
This project aims to revolutionize traditional interview practices in a new General Education (GE) course centered on the Six Arts domain. It seeks to empower students with AI technology skills to present their interview scripts in a multimedia format, transcending physical constraints.
Conventional interview methods often limit students’ real-world practice opportunities, especially in engaging with elderly individuals versed in traditional rituals under the Six Arts. Overcoming these challenges involves teaching unique interview techniques like “dot-connecting” and “funnelshaped” approaches to refine topics effectively. Integrating AI technology for efficient material recording and utilizing chatbot applications for training in communication, critical thinking, and moral education are vital components.
The project will introduce a virtual reality interview application within the GE Six Arts course, offering extended practice and AI skill development opportunities. Through this initiative, students will contribute to the community, embodying service learning principles and mentoring future cohorts. Ultimately, this endeavor aims to deepen students’ exclusive interview skills through AI and VR integration, enriching educational experiences and fostering comprehensive learning outcomes.

Result:
The pilot study, encompassing 20 participants, completed a comprehensive scale assessment. Results highlighted that the AI interview system scored 3.61 out of 5 in the interaction domain, showcasing improved interactive elements. In the imagination domain, it received a rating of 4.0, enhancing understanding and stimulating creativity during interviews.
In terms of immersion, participants rated the system at 3.5, indicating a moderately immersive experience. Collaborative learning scored 3.67, suggesting effective peer learning. Participants showed an intention to use the system, scoring 3.89, illustrating recognition of its interactive benefits.
Overall, the average score across domains was 3.73, signifying participant satisfaction. During a group interview, 19 participants expressed concerns about learning authenticity with cartoon characters, and one student highlighted confusion about AI interview skills limitations. These insights will inform future enhancements in the upcoming semester.
Impact:
The project aims o empower students with AI knowledge by integrating interview practices, enabling them to apply their learning through creating AI-generated multimedia content. This process will cultivate problem-solving skills as students navigate challenges in interviews and with AI applications. Additionally, students will enhance creative thinking by transforming assignments into multimedia formats and develop critical thinking by assessing technology’s role in their learning journey.
Exclusive interviews will refine students’ oral communication skills, supported by virtual speech technology to boost social interaction with group members and elderly participants. These interviews offer insights into the history and experiences of the elderly, facilitating engagement with the rituals of the six arts.
